Keyboard beccomes disable

Hi
Can anybody help me with my keyboard !I'm using window2000pro ,the problem is ,I was using the combofix to scan my pc for virus .There was no problem all the way.However ,when I was using it again yesterday,I accidently touch my mouse as my computer hang for quite long .When I restart it there was a funny beeping sound all the way,and my keypad becomes disable ,can anybody assist thankyou.

    Turn off your computer remove the keyboard and the mouse. Turn on your computer, with them still removed. It should beep and complain about a keyboard error.

    Turn it off again plug in the keyboard only and turn it on, see if it boots up without the keyboard error. Shut it down again, plug in the mouse and turn it back on.

    I've tried doing but no improvement,is there any other ways or can I try reinstall my win2000 pro edition.

    Enable usb legacy support in the bios.

    It's possible that your keyboard went bad or has a stuck key. Try a different keyboard, or try the keyboard on another computer.
