Lost Raid Array

edited September 2009 in Hardware
Updated bios yesterday on Gigabyte motherboard. All cmos settings were changed to default. Went back to the bios - changed settings back to raid (motherboard) but the array is degraded. I was using Raid 1 (mirror) with (2) drives.

One of the drives is a member and the other is not. The array is degraded and both drives are visible in Windows. Using Intel Matrix Manager (CTRL-I). Options are to create new, delete or make both drives non-raid.

Is it possible to fix the array without a total reinstall of OS and data?

Any help would be appreciated.

If the raid is degraded you should be able to just rebuild it. Pick the primary and roll it out to the mirror.

Exactly what kryyst said, rebuild the array. You can do this in your raid bios or your windows raid software.
