I want to get excited about Mass Effect 2 given that I've heard they've drastically improved the interface to make this much more of a competent action/shooter game. However the fact that I got to bored with the first Mass Effect to finish it past the 60% mark and Dragon Age bored me starting around the 60% mark (though I did finish it). I've thoroughly lost faith in Bioware to deliver a game that has lasting appeal. All their games just seem to hit a point where I get this feeling of bin there done that and no longer care.

MAG looks pretty fricking sweet, not gonna lie.

I can't wait to play Mass Effect 2, I loved the first one despite it's many flaws, if they really have fixed a lot of that stuff I'm super stoked.

MAG looks like yet another game that makes me wish I had a PS3. Uncharted 2, Demon Souls and MAG look so good, I need to get a job...

I really wanted to get excited about Mass Effect 2. Sadly, Mass Effect was such a bug-ridden piece of shit that I stopped playing about 20% through. Just finally got completely fed up with all the random crashes if I had any Nvidia driver later than 174 installed. At this point I'm through buying any game from Bioware as they seem incapable of squashing even minor bugs, not to mention the big show-stopper ones.

Should have played it on a Xbox :) No bugs beyond poor loading time and snap in environments.

I played Mass Effect two times back to back without even a stutter.

I couldn't play for more than 1-2 hours at a time without a random crash-to-desktop. I found tons of other people on the Bioware and Steam forums having the same problems but they never fixed the game. It was the biggest reason I stopped playing.

That's why I've moved primarily to my 360 for my gaming. It's just less hassle.

Mass Effect 2 is amazing. I saw GiantBomb's quick look at MAG and it looked pretty lame. I'm much more excited for the Bad Company 2 beta.

For you maybe. For me, not so much. First off, I don't have a nice TV. I have a 21" standard def CRT that I bought in college. 2nd, I hate playing shooters on consoles. HATE HATE HATE it. I need the mouse and keyboard. The only shooters I play on console are the MGS series (and that's not even really a shooter per se) because I love the series and, last I checked, they don't release on PC. Also, don't have a current gen console anyway, there's just other tech that I'd rather spend my money on given all of the aforementioned factors. Now then, that said, the problem I was having wasn't some obscure esoteric one, it was a widespread problem that Bioware should have worked with Nvidia to rectify. The fact that they didn't, along with the history of Bioware not patching their bugs just means I won't buy their games anymore. Easy as that.

I don't have a TV and I love my 360, the 360 looks great on my 24" LCD. The quality of the games don't look as awesome but it is significantly less hassle then some PC titles. That said, I don't plan on picking up very many FPS' on the console now that my PC can handle them. 3rd person shooters like Mass Effect don't bother me a bit with a controller though.
