I always wondered how someone would develop a platform (pun intended) that would allow one run in VR without actually moving in real life. This looks very close to how I had imagined it would work.
Probably wouldn't need one myself, but it would be hella fun to try. Also, exercise.
It's something I never really thought about, but it makes sense that development of virtual reality will happen one piece at a time from multiple inventors, rather than the invention of an entire VR experience being developed all at once in one place.
Ant guesses as to which piece will be developed next? Pressure suit? Nose insert? Wind sim? Sex pants?
I played it when I was at E3. I wanted more. I even asked the guys from CCP if they planned on making it into a full game and I am happy that they will be making it into a game.
For the first time, I actually felt like I was a pilot sitting in the cockpit and being launched into space right into battle. Looking around to find your target.
It was one amazing experience. I NEED this game in my life.

@church4252, remember a bunch of those games we thought would be really cool with the Rift? Looks like support can be added externally.
Suddenly the wait for an April-May delivery just got excruciating.
