No. this dude is pretty excited.
My excitement level is not as high as his, but I look forward to seeing future images of our lovely 9th planet.
Fixed
Countdown to Pluto sounds like an amazingly cheesy 1950s SciFi film.
The designation is dwarf planet.
Of course I would love to see Pluto again...
Would've preferred metric, but what can you do?
And I thought it was a new RPG from Disney. :'(
I am very excited!
My probe is ready
Approach!
I woke up early to watch. Now we just wait until this evening to see the new pictures.
It is simply amazing. Think about everything that goes into beaming a signal from that massive distance. NASA has the coolest toys. I mean sometimes I can't even get my Smart TV to stream in 1080p from 30 ft away over the wifi, but NASA, they shot a bunch of binary digits to form a picture from about two billion miles away. It just blows my mind thinking about it.
To be fair, the data coming in at like 1 Kbaud and we'll still be downloading the data from this week in September. Most people wouldn't put up with streaming that slow but it's not like you can get pictures from Pluto on BitTorrent.
not to be an ass but pluto is 4.67 billion miles away from earth

At its furthest it is but I believe right now it is at about 2.6 billion and the telescope is actually about half a billion miles away getting these images. At least that's how I recall it from PBS the other night.
As amazing as the new images of Pluto are, the images of the scientists seeing them for the first time is a close second place for entertainment.
I'm 99% sure that @Winfrey is a time traveler who is an old man in the picture (second dude from top left)
Spess!
July 14th was a beautiful day on Pluto.
