New map is up! This is map is current as of the official changeover from Ryder hosting the server to Ardichoke hosting.

Signs are off by default. Hit the button in the upper right corner of the map then check the box to turn them on.

Not at this time. They switched to a new save file format with the 1.3 update. I haven't had a time to check if the tools I was using have been updated.

As for the Google Maps stuff, I wasn't generating those. What's up there is the latest version I was provided with.

looks like there is a new build of Overviewer, so i'll set up a run tonight on the most recent daily backup. Hopefully it'll be a faster render with the new region format.

I've done a new Overviewer run, map is up. I've also updated the server to Debian 6 which means I can now run Overviewer right on the server. I will be setting it up to update the map once a week automagically.

Yeah, there is no static image anymore. I'm setting it up to automatically update the Google Map style version from now on as it's a more elegant method of mapping (and caches better than the static image build)

say, on the big map, do you see 3 islands of chunks spawned waaaaay to the left of the continent, just floating out in space?

I do indeed. Not sure how those got there... if it was an error with map spawning or if it was a problem with the world itself....

I don't see them, but I did notice the map had enormous amounts of blank space. Possible that those islands are related to the lag/mem usage recently?

I'll have to see about editing the map this weekend and taking out those random bits (if they exist in the actual world and not just on the map).

I stopped building a static image version when I started automatically updating the google maps style version.
