Icrontea Party: A Tea Party For The Ages
To Whom It May Concern (that's you!),
Are you ready for the best thing that you're going to do this year? Indeed, in ANY year? That's right, my friends. The rumors are true. The fabled IC tea party that's been whispered about around dinner tables, in dark corners, and in your bed at night... is finally happening, and it's happening in a city near you.*
This year at ICNY, I'm taking over a room at ICHQII, and I'm turning it in to a fairytale wasteland of tea and omnomables. Put your pinkies up, Ladies and Gentlemen; shit's about to get real.
All attendees will be asked to throw in $20 to cover food and supply costs, and I'll take care of the rest.
(*Provided you live near Detroit, Michigan.)
Terin
P.S. Also, mimosas.

Also, this shit is pretty fun.

Okay, so I'll preface this question with a disclaimer: I mean absolutely no offense, and I do realize you're the sort to do this right and make it prettyful and awesome. I gotta know, though, will there be proper china, or would I need to bring my own? I'm only asking because numbers, travel with loads of breakables and expense (assuming you don't already have a room dedicated to hundreds of gorgeous tea sets you would bring) could make it difficult.
@midga, I have SO much pretty china that it breaks my heart not to bring (since I'll be flying in from California, and bringing my collection would be pretty much impossible), but I'm definitely going to bring a teapot, a sugar bowl, and a creamer. I'll also be bringing a tea strainer and sugar tongs, and other little knick knacks like that.
Aside from that stuff, Nicole said that she's got some pretty teacups we can use. Depending on how many people come, I'm going to allocate some of the "admission" money to buying extra cups and stuff. There may not be sitting room for everyone, but come hell or high water, EVERYONE shall have a proper teacup.
