What is a"steampunk" costume? I really guess i don't understand how give a costume a steampunk look, with my understanding of the definition.



Could i just add a minigun arm to any costume and it becomes steampunk?

The way I normally describe steampunk is as "Victorian with a twist." So perhaps you'd have a typical Victorian outfit but with metal accents, and so on. It's kind of about combining metal with the old fashioned look. I can get you pictures as an example, but it'll have to wait until after work.

This was my steampunk costume for a wedding I went to. Unfortunately, it ended up being more Victorian than Steampunk. I don't have all the accessories on here, though.

The second photo is the couple that got married when I went to the steampunk wedding. I don't have good photos of their entire outfits, unfortunately, but you can see the sweet hat and goggles my friend Jonathon had.
