Official 1st Annual SM LAN picture thread

Wheee!

I picked up Mondi from the airport today at 4:00 PM EST. Flight board said his flight was going to be late, but it wasn't.....

I took him home, got his bags unpacked, and drove right back to the airport (a 45 minute drive) to pick up VoE... However, his flight was delayed... At first, the flight board said a one hour delay - okay, that's manageable. Then, I got a voicemail from VoE that said "My flight's not leaving till 7:00 PM"... Which is 7:00 PM Houston, TX time, which is 9:00 PM EST - meaning his plane wouldn't be landing till 1 AM my time....

So, me, Mondi, and my kids hung out in downtown detroit, saw some sights, ate in Greektown, and just goofed around. We came back home, and -tk met us to hang out and drink coffee.

Well VoE's flight arrived at 2:00 AM

Me, Mondi, and -tk went to pick him up, and the airport was a freaking ghost town. There was absolutely nobody there, which is creepy because Metro Airport is very very big. It almost felt like the day after the apocalypse.

First pic is the terminal, vacant, and the second pic is the "band pic" - Mondi, -tk, and VoE.....

Excellent thread... You guys made it early, I'm sooo jealous!

We shouldn't clutter this space up with extraneous comments so in going with the theme, lemme introduce my mouse and mousepad

which will be at the Lan in 2 days. To the right (Lookin rather dusty) you can see "The Beast" which will also be at the Lan, after I spiff it up with the vacuum cleaner and some Windex.

One other thing: When we went to pick up VoE at the airport, we stopped to visit the friendly informational kiosks that NorthWest Airlines provides... Unfortunately, they seem to be running windows

And if we had a MONTHLY LAN, the CPUs would not OH much at all....

I'll be watching the LAN threads and will enjoy knowing wassup, will get together with Prime later myself when I will be up in MI for other family and business reasons. He knows approximate time\date frames.

However, we both forgot the actual mice... We brought the cradles, the power supplies.....

Talk about being ripped off in Aus.

If it was not such a long drive from Western Australia to the LAN, i'd pop in for a coffee. Now THAT is an excuse for not making it, lol.

. Thats $2AUD a ltr or $1.40US. So stop your complaining about fuel prices it could be worse
