[blockquote]The man, Michael Bradley, was so sure that the folks at Google would pay up, he even turned up at their offices for a meeting to sell his software. By then, federal law enforcement agents were already on the case and videotaped the alleged extortion attempt. [/blockquote]

Nvidia has announced a developer program and software development kit for 3D content on cell phones and other handhelds.
[blockquote]"Cell phone users are becoming increasingly sophisticated in how they use their phones. Carriers looking for innovative ways to offer their customers new services are already integrating features such as camera phones and video phones," said Mark Daly, vice president of content development at Nvidia. XP_2003 has posted some screenshots of a beta version of MSN Messenger 4 for the Mac. Although there haven't been any major changes from previous versions, XP_2003 has noted that there have been a lot of icon changes.
[blockquote]If MSN Messenger 4 is released with features like it has in beta then Mac users will find themselves still behind the PC version which has more advanced features and simple customisation options like personal display pictures and custom emoticons. Microsoft's failure to update its Mac Messenger client will surely disappoint Mac users.[/blockquote]

[link=http://www.nordichardware.com]Nordichardware[/link] has put up an interview with ATI's Terry Makedon. Check it out!
[blockquote]As a company, we were not satisfied with the state of our drivers. They were plagued by problems, were not being released frequently, and got a little stale in the feature department. We regrouped and decided that VPU software was a core for focus for ATI, and we were determined to take the necessary steps to attain market leadership. Clearly we wanted to be the innovators (and not the imitators) in that field. After considerable investment in people, tools, process, and a shift in mindset, we embarked on the CATALYST voyage. Which brings us to the present day, with recent user poll resoundly indicating that ATI has vastly improved software performance. [/blockquote]

After being forced to stop selling Lindows in the Netherlands earlier in the week, Lindows CEO Michael Robertson is now asking his users to come up with a possible temporary name that could be used in order to satisfy the courts.
[blockquote]In his latest 'Michael's Minutes', Robertson goes on to say "We're looking for a strategy which would allow us to continue to operate in impacted countries. This may mean that Lindows needs a temporary alternative name in isolated locations. It's tremendously disruptive to a business to change a name or add an alias, but it may be the only way in the short-term that we can operate in certain places."[/blockquote]
