Re: WANTED: Video game events for Expo 2017 (deadline Sun, Apr 30)
I would enjoy being involved in Console triathlon, TF2, Rocket League, et all. I always love what comes out of the Minecraft creative builds so would love to squeeze that in also.
Really down to run any video game tournies. All I ask is that if it is a game I am not familiar with, I be paired with someone who is. I seem to be pretty good at herding the cats when needed.

Wait Are we going to do a what are we playing in April thread?

PC port released on Steam recently and considering it originally came out in 2009 it's a relatively old game but oh man. I'd heard it's good but nothing that really got my attention like, "Holy shit, get this game right now!" Well I'm here to tell you, Holy shit, get this game RIGHT NOW. I just finished my first play-through and aside from a few unclear QTE segments during boss fights this game is a blast. The default combat abilities are intrinsically fun on their own and there are a lot more to discover and unlock as the game goes on. It's fast, it's funny, it's only $20.

I've been playing Spreadsheets: Magic Cards. I've heard you use the cards in a multiplayer game mode too but no one ever seems to want to try that.
I've also been trying out Spreadsheets: Financial Adulting on the weekend, and recently picked up Spreadsheets: Wedding Planning but they are both significantly less fun.

I have built a Raspberry Pi arcade.
I'm not sure what you mean. Like a classic arcade cabinet? I'm sure folks would play around with it if you brought it over, but it doesn't sound like it would lend itself to a formal event.

Re: Prime's Ryzen build
@Thrax I went with your suggestion. ASRock B350 gaming K4 with some G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4 3200 CL 14 paired up with a Ryzen 1600X, and a shiny new RX 580. A few parts in hand, some on the way, should have a build together by this time next week.
I was so bent on doing a shrink because my Corsair 600t case was absolutely massive, it was about 620 mm deep, just huge. I boxed myself into thinking mAtx was going to be a must, but I took a good look at the Corsair 400C and I'm pretty excited about how compact it's going to be despite being full ATX. I'm going full out, cable mod kit, led strips, captain ex water cooler, it's going to be my black and red showcase build, I know it's going to be one of the best I have ever done.
