ICSP/Marche 2017 Beer Tasting - DAT HAZE CRAZE
Aw jeah

In the last few years, a trend originating in Vermont and the surrounding region has slowly began to sweep across the nation. These so-called New England-style pale ales and IPAs offer a distinct twist on the style, providing much of the big hop flavors of West Coast IPAs without the intense bitterness, and tending towards Midwest IPA malt levels for balance and body. In addition, techniques to create a hazy, opaque look (derided by unknowledgeable brewers and beer drinkers as lazy) help suspend volatile hop oils and resins in the beer for greater hop flavor. The intense citrus and tropical notes from the hops used leads many to compare these to drinking a glass or orange or pineapple juice.
At this tasting we'll be trying an assortment of these beers along with a few classics which aren't technically in the category but are notable for similar flavor profiles or hop usage.
I'd like to keep this tasting to about 7 other folks but can go up to 9 if needed. Cost will be about $15-20 or so.
I'm thinking Sunday around 5-6pm is going to be the best option overall, so I'm gonna call that timeslot out. Plan your Sunday Nain Daydrinking accordingly.
Please post your 'in' here.

Re: Dickbots VII - Wrath of Khanbots [complete]
I'm pretty well protected with the mountains to my southeast. If I leave a Spearman at home, and keep enough money on hand to buy one more archer, I should be good against anything that sneks around the mountains.

Re: Andromeda
@CB just wanted to update you. The more I play Andromeda, the more I am enjoying it. The story is a slow burn, and is finally gaining weight at about 10 hours in (maybe less, I'm exploring everything). I'm just now understanding how huge the game will be.
While some of the negativity in the reviews is justified, I wonder if they fully gave the game the chance it needed. It is not Shepard's Mass Effect. There is no hero. But the awe and wonderment of actually exploring a completely new galaxy for me, is exciting.
Will it be as epic as the trilogy? I doubt it. But it's a very familiar Mass Effect foundation with a fresh look on exploring. In a basic sense, it's ME1 improved with ME3MP combat evolved. I just got my full crew and haven't really built any rapport with them, so I can't comment if they will be as great as the companions in the trilogy.
Anyways, just thought I'd shoot ya an update, as well as anyone else interested in the game.

Man, Dream Theater, Tool, Genesis, Yes... Smart people dig Prog.Throw on In The Court of The Crimson King by King Crimson as well and we have a party.
Can we add Bridge of Sighs by Robin Trower and Some Captain Beyond to the party?
