Each HDMI port can only support one device. If your TV only has one single HDMI connector, you will not be able to have both the cable box and the PS4 hooked up at the same time. The only thing you will be able to do is unplug one when you want to use the other. Most modern TVs come with 3,4, and even more HDMI ports to support multiple devices.
