Re: New build (and the story behind it)
Build and troubleshooting notes:
EVGA has gained a fan. They have 24/7 live tech support. This is a huge plus in my book. Also their standard 3-year warranty can be extended to 10 years (for a fee, but well worth it).
The POST process hung with a code 19 (a southbridge check of some sort). Called EVGA's 24/7 live support and spoke with a very knowledgeable tech support person. After a bit of troubleshooting, an overnight RMA was arranged. Second board arrived, same problem. Asked about the problem on the forum and it was suggested that the BIOS was an old revision. So I called the tech support line again and relayed the information. The company has a policy of sending any new/replacement boards out with the latest BIOS, but just in case, they would send me a new drop-in BIOS (one is replaceable on the board). Sure enough, a couple days later I had a fully working board that recognized the CPU. Somehow my replacement board got shipped without an update.
According to a couple of EVGA community members, the BIOS selector switch can be changed while the system is running, so I can update the other two pretty easily.

This is the defacto answer for every phone that I've ever rooted, helped someone else root, etc etc ad nauseum.

The Legend of Korra(3.5 hours): This game feels really disjointed and under budget. Graphics are on point and the fighting system is good enough. Though the over use of the same special enemies highlights where things just got phoned in. Only a few characters from the show make it into the game.
The game follows the basis for the show. You have powers, you loose powers, and you beat someone up that comes from left field. One big let down is Korra doesn't get to go home with her girlfriend at the end since she isn't in the game. Would have liked to see some kind of health gen system outside of combat but they made a store system instead which you need to use to carry health potions. The very first stage in the game you get locked out of areas which means forcing the user to replay which always grates on me. Make the game good enough to replay. With it being 4 hours you can just sit down on an afternoon and finish the entire thing. Not bad given who owns the IP and the cost I paid for it.
Games Completed: 120
Time: 5 weeks 77.11 hours
