Re: Raid Summary 11/29 - 11/30 2015
Mythic dungeons are the current best way to gear up, by far. The drop rate of 700, 705, and 715 stuff is absurd. Each mythic dungeon is worth 300 valor which is one upgrade, so by the time you've done two you could have a piece of 725 gear. I've gotten most of my best gear from crates and dungeons, not raiding.
Re: Raid Summary 11/29 - 11/30 2015
I'll try to get in on some runs this week and the next couple to get caught up. Excited to be coming back
Re: Mythic dungeons
Mythic Dungeons have been VERY good to a lot of people. 715-725 gear is dropping in almost every one; not to mention the 300 valor you get per run. I got a weapon upgrade for Kethark tonight in Auchindoun; the first weapon upgrade I've gotten since before HFC. I've been running with the crafted staff for months. UPGRADE GET.
Ancient artifact located
While excavating an old desk drawer in preperation for the big move, unearthed this rare specimen.

If my research is correct, ancient peoples once had square niches on the front of their computational business machines (possibly located near the legendary "turbo button"), in which they would affix such "badges" to show loyalty to their tribe. If the badges are more than ornamental, further purpose is lost to history.
The tribe depicted on these badges was likely focused on textile manufacture, as documents frequently mention "folding" as a primary occupation of the tribesmen.
It is unknown if current residents of the area are descendants of this group of early weavers.
Research is ongoing.

Raid Summary 11/29 - 11/30 2015
7/13 Heroic HFC! New heroic boss down!
As much as he tried to make us fly, it ended up being a long way down for Shadow Lord Iskar instead. This particular fight was pretty special to us because it represented a skill-cap type of roadblock. It was a boss fight that made us get better as a team and become better raiders, giving us skills to continue on and take down the remainder of Hellfire Citadel.
After downing Iskar, we moved on to Socrethar and made some major progress and improvements in mechanics execution. The numbers are super strong so the moment we nail the mechanics, Socrethar will die a second time (we killed him once, etc.)
The valor upgrades have made a marked improvement in our healing and DPS performance. Great work to everyone who has taken the initiative to continue upgrading their gear throughout the week. I'd like to especially shoutout @DocFrazier and @Enslayved for rallying a lot of people to run mythic dungeons for gear upgrades throughout the week.
See you next week!
Re: Star Wars Battlefront
I can't recall who said this, but I remember someone saying that "Rock and Roll was simultaneously the worlds most and least important thing" My quote is a probably a touch off so Google isn't helping there, but trust me, someone said something like that and I found it interesting.
I feel that way about video games. It might lend some context to how I can get passionate enough about something yet not expect anyone to get too sensitive about it in response. I'd hate to think someone would not want to hear from me again because I have a difference of opinion on how a multiplayer FPS should come to market.
I hope nobody takes offense to this because I wouldn't, but being honest, this is a community forum of kinda nerdy / geeky folks. Extreme passion about the stuff we care about is probably the best way to describe what it means to be "nerdy / geeky". At least Will Wheaton said so, so that is good enough for me. So I'll offer this as an apology for riling everyone up. I should know well enough that posing a challenge to someones passion on this forum is going to rile somebody up. At the same time, I think we can all agree, maybe it isn't the worlds biggest issue, and it being that maybe it would be okay to feel safe to talk about it on our own terms? Should we restrict discussions on Video Games as if they were religion or politics?
TLDR Star Wars Battlefront is both the most and least important thing right now... Process that however you will.

What rankles them is that you insist on shitting on something they enjoy or love at every available opportunity. Once is not enough for you.
If that was the threshold for trolling, I'd have banned you all ages ago for what happens when I bring up Apple products.
What rankles "them" is that his opinion is a little bit infuriating to them and they've all discussed it and decided they're righteous so, fuck civility, let's call him out as a troll.
And I'm saying nope.

Tales from the Borderlands(9.5 hours): Can't believe how Borderlands this Borderlands game is. The slow constant string of jokes, physical comedy, robots with huge gams, bass drops, romance, flower expulsions. You never miss out of the great things that made you fall in love with the original Borderlands game. The art style that Telltale uses even fits in perfectly for the canon universe of this. I really tried to pack this entire play through into one sitting-ish but that didn't happen.
Getting through the first episode, a short break, and then about half way through the second made it extremely clear that each chapter was going to be a pretty even 2 hours. I cut it down by a half hour across 5 episodes by not looking at every single poster or piece of junk laying around but since the game is a narrative on rails you are stuck at a specific minimum time investment. At 2 hours it can get rough if you get a spell in the plot where you just aren't digging it super hard. Something closer to 1:30-1:45 would have been easier, so 6 eps. That would make it easier to sneak one in before bed time and allow for more breaks. Once everything is rolling you really want to stay with it.
The story telling is great. Everything has two sides and as a result you play as two different characters telling the same story to the same person which allows you view all the holes that would exist if it was just one persons side. You are forced to expel the events to a Sunabouzu type character whom doesn't seem that interested in boobs. Execution feels perfect on this. I just finished up the last episode on the Game of Thrones Telltale game where the clipping of models was driving me crazy, and only got worse as the game progressed(plus the audio sync). Modeling is spot on but the last two episodes character jumps and some snap in were getting progressively worse.
The money aspect of the game seemed forced and poorly executed. This is Pandora lets go FFVII on this and stick 7 0s at the end of everything! The turning points were good and choices carried through to a level that was appreciated. By the end I was wondering why the finalized the story so much but there was even an answer for that. Hint: a season 2 could easily happen and the rumors point to end of 2016. People are claiming it will roll out with Season 2 of Game of Thrones but that worries me as I would wait for something that is extremely polished instead of multi-game launches in the same year. Given that this is all railed game play I want it to look ppuuurrrffffeeeccctttt since the visual is so important outside of the QTE/dialogue.
I screwed up and forgot step 3........CATCH A RIDE!
Games Completed: 99
Time: 4 weeks 132 hours

Re: New clicker game: Clicker Heroes
@primesuspect Your Silyalatas and Libertas are severely under leveled. Forget about putting anything into Morgulis for a bit and also try to get Mammon and Mimzee up. Also regild EVERYTHING into Terra and get Solomon ASAP so you can start getting more Hero Souls.
