I didn't know you could get a resource by planting a citadel on it, that makes things simple. Then I should have 7 oil for us in 4ish turns.
All Great Improvements (Citadel, Holy Site, Manufactory (GA improvements were removed in the latest expansion, I think?)) always also grant the resource under them. Those Great People are versatile dudes

Use this to test
The Quote button is broken again (or still?). Clicking on the quote button of a post that itself contains a quote (such as this one I'm posting) does not result in the post content being quoted. The quote markdown gets inserted, as does the original poster's name, but the text doesn't get brought along for the ride.
EDIT: What the crap? Okay... so the quote button works fine here. But if I try it in the Fallout 4 thread (for instance, on this post: http://icrontic.com/discussion/comment/929187/#Comment_929187), it behaves as I have mentioned.
EDIT 2: Okay, now I see what's going on. Any post with a quote and a trailing line break triggers this behavior.

This is why I haven't bought it yet. I have things to do in the next three days and if I install it, it's game over for responsibilities. So excited and looking forward to more wasteland lore!
Oh, I installed it... it is taking every bit of my willpower not to cough cough go home sick right now.
Last night I actually played MGS Peacewalker just to scratch the video game itch without losing a nights sleep to Fallout 4. You better believe that tomorrow night I'm going to launch FO4 and play into the night, since I took Friday off. I can't handle the excite.

I have somewhat good news, I have access to 7 oil..kind of:The issue at hand is I can't keep up with the invasion in my borders enough to send the general to the tile to build the citadel. I'd also need a non military building turn to make a worker. Then I would need to secure it.
You should be able to plop a general fort on top of the oil and get the resource instantly. That would mean you wouldn't have to build and protect a worker, but you'd still have to hold the fort.
This was bugged for me in FFA02, but that was in combination with the resource being pillaged first, so maybe it would work here.
Re: Songs of your life
@Fatcat has good taste, when I'm supreme ruler I'll appoint him to my cabinet of good music.
One more from Live around that era, Deep cut, Heropsychodreamer is basically a song about an outcast kid that has some vivid fantasies about getting even with the cool kids.... At least that is the way I see it. I could have written it at the time.
