Four years later we finally got around to getting this done professionally. We took it up to Detroit Moped Works and gave them the kit and parts we purchased. It took a couple of weeks but she got it back yesterday and it absolutely flies (and sounds pretty bad ass too). We're pretty lucky that this place opened up so close to home.
New motor, new exhaust, new carb, new tires and tubes, resurfaced brakes, new fuel line, new petcock, and some other stuff.
It was puttering along about 25mph top speed. Now, it goes much (much) faster than that.

I finally sold that minigun for $12, profit off this patch is now over $25. Woo. Have spent nearly half of it on keys because I like rolling the dice. I've probably spent $75ish opening crates in TF2 and I'm yet to get something rare except the pyro jumps in the pool taunt, but it is still fun for me because I like to gamble.
