Raid Summary 07/26 - 07/27 2015
Icrontic don't stop!
This week was a fantastic raid week for the guild; we were able to weather significant roster changes, bring in a lot of new blood, and continue on without missing a beat. While we didn't get any new bosses down in HFC, we got right back to Iskar, lots of people got gear, and we all learned our new roles and responsibilities with flying colors.
Welcome to the new raiders, thank you very much to our existing raiders for their flexibility and willingness to step up to help the guild, and yeah... Onward to next week!

does it have the Blue Screen of Death?
It's more of a Gentle Frown of Failure.

Re: Phone and service suggestions for CB
Give it just a couple days and the 2015 model moto g will be out.

It will have moto maker customization and supposedly there will be a 16gb storage with 2gm ram model. If so, it will be a very nice entry level phone.

Re: Old laptop on HDTV - resolution issues
I like to stream older TV series eg from stream-tv1.net. The problem occurred while streaming way lower than 720p - I believe it was 240p. I am using Firefox as browser and have VLC installed as my preferred video player, but frankly I am not sure what player those sites use when you just click on a video, let alone if you have control over what player they use. I am a great fan of VLC player. After what you said, I might try and grab the URL for streaming off the site and see if I can stream directly to VLC. Worth a try!
@primesuspect - great to see that the site is doing well and you are hanging in there. Some other sites I used to belong to have been bought up by corporations, which means the community looses control over their site. I am sure you had offers. Thanks for resisting!

MUST I upgrade before I have access to an ISO for installing from scratch or can I choose to save an ISO when I get my free copy?

8 was the bad one so this one's the good one, right? Or was 9 going to be the good one and they skipped it?
Not srs, but 10 is the good one. Here are some popular theories on why 9 was skipped. See the pseudocode towards the end of the article for the prevailing theory.

Yes, you must undergo an in-place upgrade from Win7/8/8.1 to Windows 10. Your license will be consumed and converted to a full/activated license for Windows 10 of an equivalent version (e.g. Win7 x64 Pro = Win10 x64 Pro). It appears you will be able to download an ISO and/or create recovery discs that will allow for a fresh install of Win10.
As an aside, the "upgrade" procedure changed in Windows 8 in that the upgrade process is now performing a clean install and migrating files/applications where able. Many people fall into the "I-used-to-do-PCs-but-haven't-upgraded-hardware-or-actually-reinstalled-windows-in-many-years" camp, and missed this critical change as a result. The Win7/8/8.1 upgrade to 10 is effectively a clean install, but your programs happen to be there when you're done.
If you're still really anal about a blank slate install, you'll be able to do it after you jump through the license exchange hoop.
