Are Icrontians using this day-to-day? Or is this mostly a gee-whiz kinda thing for us that we get bored of after an hour?
Not so much anymore. The killer app for me was that you can use the Google earth api to embed functionality in my UAV control software to provide useful, well-maintained moving map, waypoint input and display, and geofence features. There are also some SLAM applications that I wasn't able to explore but which are still worthwhile. We also used it to visualize student aircraft flight telemetry and I plan to use it soon to visualize my amateur rocket telemetry logs.

Re: Square Enix publisher sale on Steam
Lara Croft Guardians of Light is a really damn awesome co-op platformer/puzzler. Really a lot of fun! Great for playing on the couch with friends, but online coop works too.

Square Enix publisher sale on Steam
Square Enix games are on deep discount this wekeend. Some standouts include Final Fantasy III, IV, VII, and XIII, Deus Ex, and Lara Croft Guardians of Light.
I know @Thrax had a lot of praise for Guardians of Light.
Re: Google Earth Pro is now Free
I haven't messed around with it for a couple years now, but there was a possibility of making GPS routes and tracking that I thought you could only do with Pro. This would be really useful for my Dad's business if that were possible.
You can now change your Minecraft in-game name
Log into your Mojang account and the option is right there
This name will be displayed to other players in the game.
If you change your name now you have to wait 30 days before you can change it again, so please choose wisely!
