I am hoping there is an easy solution to this.

So I have a temperature controller that has built in AC output for heating and cooling. I want a water pump to turn on if either the heating or cooling is activated. The only way I can think to do this is to have a the output the heating and cooling trip a contractor relay for the pump, but those are expensive and i'd like to not have to buy two for no reason. Heres a 2 second drawing of what i am thinking. Is there an easier way?

Full wave rectify the H/C outputs -> then put a diode in line on the + side of the rectifiers - > then put the output of the diodes to the coil
relay, and the negative to the other side of the relay.
