gettin barton 2500 stable over 200fsb

edited February 2004 in Hardware
well i wanted to take my barton farther than 200fsb since with my setup and temps i beileve i should be able to. this is my setup
barton 2500 208X10.5 1.8 vcore, undervolted at 1.76
nf7-s rev 2.0 bios 21
ocz 3200 512 dual channel ddr platinum 1.8 sdddram voltage 7-2-2- cas 2
slk900-a 92 mmtornado
enermax 365watt
chenming aluminum with 5 case fans
agp reads as 66mhz in bios
chipset voltage is at 1.7
at this setup prime95 crashes just around 2 hours or so, any suggestions on getting my computer more stable?
i do not believe heat is the issue as mbm 5 reads my temps 36c cpu, and 21 system right now with prime95 running

im just disgruntled as i have good ram, good cooling, and an unlocked barton 2500, and i cant get decent ocs like many other ppl have had success with the same board and proc : ( : ( : (

Try cranking the vdimm up to max the board allows and try relaxing your mem timings just a bit, say maybe to 2-2-2-11 and see what it does.

Ahh, i see straight away what the problem is. The only bios that can handle the multi 10 and 10.5 is the first bios. D10. EQuito here on the forums have one modded with the newest SATA bios so you don't have to worry about harddrive corruptions.

oh yea well i downloaded the equito modded 19 bios, with the harddrive corruption fixed, that should do the trick shouldnt it ?

No. As i said, with multi 10 and 10.5, the modded D10 is the way to go. On top of that, it's actually the most stable bios i have tried on the NF7.

uggh scared me, i flashed using abits flash utility at optimized defaults, rebooted and it didnt post, shut of computer turned of power supply, turned it back on and it says bios 10 at the bottom, i think everything is ok lol

Heh. Has happened a few times for me as well, yes. Load optimized, save and reboot to bios again to make the changes you want. Edit your mbm monitor to take 10c off the cpu temps as that bios reports way to much heat.

    Hi All!
    speed_x here, how are you?
Anyhow, what is the stepping of your cpu?
Keep taking your Vcore up 'till you're stable,
you might have to up your Vcore to 1.85 volts
You could relax your timings to 7-3-3-2.5,
have you used memtest on your memory?

Have you thought about the L12 bridge cut?

I did it to my 2500 and was able to get to 200 fsb stable.
