Didn't take long . . .

According to SlashDot it didn't take long for the leaked source code to allow someone to find weaknesses in it.

http://www.securitytracker.com/alerts/2004/Feb/1009067.html

According to the alert it only affects users with IE 5.
IE 6 is said to be safe.

So, I suggest upgrading to IE 6 if you haven't already done so, or using some other alternative browser.

BTW: Have these people no lives? Who has the time to sift through MS' code?

I agree A2J. I couldn't imagine doing anything destructive regarding computers (minus a few sledgehammer incidents with my old boards that wouldn't cooperate). It's a total waste of time. They need to grow up.

I also don't understand these people. I guess that they feel they are doing something good attacking Microsoft, or that Microsoft somehow deserves this because they are so big and bad. I frankly don't get it. They think that somehow these attacks weaken Microsoft, but in reality, they just damage everyone else BUT Microsoft. It obviously causes some PR damage, but that goes away after awhile anyways.
