Fiber Internet Gateway
Finally live in a place with a fiber option. I think I'd prefer to buy a gateway than lease one as we'll be here for a few years.
The hardware requirements are attached, wondering if anyone has a recommendation. I already have a decent ASUS wireless gigabit router. Thanks.

Very pleased with the one I just got from Ubiquiti: https://www.amazon.com/Ubiquiti-Unifi-Security-Gateway-USG/dp/B00LV8YZLK/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1519497457&sr=1-1&keywords=Ubiquiti+USG
You can manage it with a java app you run on your PC (which is lame and clunky) or you can get this:
https://www.amazon.com/Ubiquiti-Unifi-Cloud-Key-Control/dp/B017T2QB22/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1519497411&sr=8-6&keywords=Ubiquiti+Unifi+Security+Gateway+(USG)
And have web-based access from anywhere (also mobile app).
You don't NEED the cloud key, but it makes managing the thing so much better.... and if you add other Ubiquiti UniFi gear (like wifi AP, switch, whatever), it just magically appears on your map and management console. Good stuff.
Everything Brian just said. I love my Ubiquiti equipment.
Note: If you go this route, make sure it's all their "Unifi" line if you want to manage it from their Unifi controller software. They have other lines that are also solid products, but they do not integrate with the controller.
Great, ordered. Thanks for the advice.
