Lowest price by about 20.00 compared to a 1TB SSD with a 5 year warranty. Crucial is owned by Micron-- Crucial IS Micron's consumer sales division. This drive is designed for big files, sequential Write and Read are 560 GB/sec and 520 GB/sec. Occasional small writes are much slower.

OK, price went down 49 cents-- and the 2TB capacity MX500 series stayed about 223.00. visit crucial.com and search for MX500.

Crucial MX500 series 1 TB SSD's are actually cheaper from Crucial right now if you are NOT a prime member at Amazon. Amazon is charging shipping, while Crucial does not charge shipping. Both charge tax.

Amazon's price before shipping is 90.99.

Crucial's price before shipping is 109.99.
