Thread for organizing gaming while we’re all shut in!
I’m willing to put Jackbox up on my Twitch stream (all y’all need is access to the stream and a device with a web browser to play on, including phones!). Tomorrow or Saturday night for those interested!

Hey folks, how’s a good ol TF2uesday sound for tomorrow evening?
QuaranTF2sday.
We’re looking at a 7 EST start time for those interested 😁
Putting this up again for tomorrow night, we'll do 8 EST so we can catch the coasties!
I'm in. That was a blast. Last time.
Question: would there be interest, say, were someone to pick up a Zoom pro account for events like this?
I'll grab a Zoom account for Cola to use.
If anyone wants to chip in a couple bucks for the TF2 server ($23), Zoom account ($16), or a Minecraft server ($8 if we do it), you can PayPal accounts@short-media.com.
I picked up a Zoom pro for a month, found a coupon. Getting the sharing could take some doing.
https://us04web.zoom.us/j/7247841127 is the link right now. I'll leave it open whenever I'm on.
There is a line between folks contributing ad hoc and registering accounts meant to be the de facto one for the community. As I have said many times over the years, please don't do the latter without discussing it with Brian or myself.
I have other uses for it. When I'm available it's available for the group.
What's the advantage of Zoom over Twitch?
Zoom is more video conference where everyone can be on video chat (or just audio) and a presenter can easily share screen with everyone.
Twitch is a one way stream and we use Discord to talk.
The difference in this case would be the delay. If the stream even gets 3-4 seconds out of sync, it affects players.
Twitch is about 10 sec, by default. It made a few games a lot more difficult, but nothing was really awful, considering.
Ah got it! I wasn't aware of the twitch latency issue. I can see why you're looking at alternatives.
Zoom is also pretty amazingly straightforward.
Is coordination happening here or elsewhere?
