How long should I let Prime 95 run before I am sure it is "folding" stable.

I messed around a bit with memory timing and got my athlon xp 2500 mobile running at 2505 mhz. It has been running prime95 for an hour now. still no errors. Fingers crossed.
NF7 Board
OCZ 256 400 EL x 2
200 fsb
12.5 multi
dram ratio 3/3
timinigs
2.5 3 3 8

it errored after a few minutes with it at 2 3 3 6

the answer is the longer the better. but usually after about 12 hours it's pretty much set, but if u can just let it test for 24 hours or so, and then start running folding.
or u can just skip the whole prime95 part and start folding right away and then if the WU never finishes, it means your comp isn't stable.

I am with Leishi on this, just let'er fold. You'll find out soon enough how stable it is.

24 hours is what I let it run before I consider it "solid."
12 hours is probably fine, but what's an additional 12 to make sure it's solid?

Also Gromacs stress the system even moreso than Prime does so it's possible Prime will run fine but that fah won't.

That's a pretty kick ass overclock, man! I just ordered a 2600 mobile from Newegg last night myself, seeing how well the 2500m procs are doing, and the 2600m was only a few dollars more than the 2500m.

Well The Mutt has been folding for a couple days now with no errors ! it is still running at 2505mhz. :rarr: It is sitting on a cold cement floor in the basement storeroom and temps are down to 43C full load. It is really chewing up the WU's around 80-90 points a day. :fold::fold:

BTW this is the same Mobile discussed in another thread with the stepping IQYFA 0343 mpmw ......smokin.......
