Does anyone know how to use XML?

Microsoft released a new SDK for creating aircraft in Flight Simulator. Unfortunately, some of the new effects and part animations involved knowing how to use XML. I've never dealt with XML, but now I will have to learn how to use it in order to keep my aircraft up to date. Anyone know of any good online resources for learning XML? Thanks

What's worse? Not getting an answer, or getting an answer that is "Nope. Don't know anything about it. Try googling?" I've waited a few days hoping someone might come along and answer, but I guess either everyone else is in the same boat as I am or this got lost in the fold. It's quite a list. Im also looking at learning at least some aspects of XML. This is mainly for developing code for mobile devices (although that is just one use for it).

XML is mainly a tag language like HTML. The only thing is that its "open source". That means that you need to have a definition table if you're writing XML for a developed application. Its kinda like a style sheet, but not exactly.

If you're starting from scratch then you can make your own definitions up. You'll find that its really easy to use (if you're used to HTML then it will be even easier).

It even has a page where you write your code and see it right on screen.

Flight Simulator comes with a long list of definitions (if I wanted to make a landing light switch, the tag would be L_light or something like that).

Luckily it comes with a bunch of example gauges that I can rip open and see how they work
