AMD Athlon 64 CPU driver for Windows XP ; Version 1.1.0.1

A new driver for AMD's Athlon 64 CPU for Windows XP has been released.

    Oh sorry, I thought Shorty posted this as I pointed the driver out to him the other day in our never-ending A64 thread.

    But now you mention it, it would be "The new driver" rather than "A" as it is the only driver. :)

    Does it work for Opterons too or just Athlon 64?

    Doesn't mention Opteron.... but it is an Athlon64.....

    hi can you maby help me. i want to download the 64 bit drivers on the site but cant get them donloaded

    Kiteplans,

    For downloads on Short-Media...simply type in the alpha numeric number sequence that is displayed before every download. You must type in a unique number, generated by the site just before enabling the download.

    If you hit download twice...you will get an ACCESS DENIED error. Just restart and you'll be able to do it no problem.

    Actually that happens alot with IE, but if you try downloading it with Firefox you won't a problem at all. Some how the server treats FF differently.
    Install FF and be happy!
