I'm thinking about getting one of these: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=17-145-743&depa=0

I've never used USB 2.0 before, but now I have it on my NF7. I just want to make sure: this USB 2.0 enclosure is compatible with USB 1.0/1.1, right? I want to use it at the university computer labs too. (and it should work plug-and-play, right? Can't install drivers without admin)

Looks...diffrent. Has some modding potential :vimp: As for USB 2.0, it's backwards compatible.

I thought so, but it's good to hear before I blow the cash :)

So, this will work without having to install drivers, right? It'll kind of defeat the point if not.

It would.... but some DOS applications might complain.

I use WinXP at home and 2k at school, so it should all be good then. The main purpose will be to shuttle around saved work and mp3's.

Thanks guys. Time to order my new gizmo :D
