I wouldn't put it past Intel to pull a marketing stunt like that, everyone knows that these benchmarks can sway a lot of people.

OR, he has a 3.4 GHz, lots of money, and OC'd it to 254 FSB from normal of 200(800/4 to allow for quad pump). Since that is quad-pumped, yield is what program gave (about 4298 MHz, exactly 4318) at 17 multiplier, and at 18 multiplier is what he said (4572 MHz if 254 FSB, about 4284 with 238 FSB, possibly an earlier OC result). OC??? 1.26 times base, 26% OC. Possible. Been done. IF program has max detect of 17 multiplier or less, or max speed of detect of 4298 you get those results, or if bench is earlier, you get close to those if he updated report.
I could handle the 3.2 GHz possibility, but think that will do for now.
3.40 is out now, the 3.40E is stated by Intel to be available in OEM systems in Q1 of this year.
Saw it on [H] the other day. You should be able to go there and look on the archives if it isn't still on the front page. Seems like it was a week ago.

It's not. A search for "screwdriver trick" diddn't turn up anything either.

Woah, Battle of Proxycon would actually be playable, frightening...
I was thinking the EXACT thing when I saw the score at the botttom... wow.
but dang man, this guy got a killer score
"No"
I've seen it on a few other forums but it still amazes me I almost pull 7K but not quite hehe.
I wouldn't be the first.
I also noticed that he didn't get a cpu score.
And he said he has a 18 Multi. An 18 multi would be a 3.6GHz default with a 200MHz FSB. I dont those are on the shelves yet.
3dmark says he has a 240MHz FSB which also equals an 18 multiplier. But either the user overrated the RSB or 3dmark shows it lower for some reason.
Unless this is someone with in unreleased P4. Say someone at Intel. Someone with a lot of money anyway.
