XP Manager.......any advice

After my PC spent time in the hospital for repair this week, the consultant said I had too many conflicting programs on my PC and this quite possibly led to the Blue Screen of Death......."Hard System Error" and his advice was that all I needed to keep my PC optimised was Windows XP Manager.

So I deleted my Ram program and a couple of others, I just can't remember what they were for now.......and the F@H4 console as he said it was conflicting with the GUI unit.......Could somebody confirm as too whether he was correct in this matter.......particularly as after 24 hours of smooth running I have decided to re-install the console unit and start it up again........PC appears to be working OK at the moment.

Anyway though he was under the impression I had Windows XP manager already installed on the puta I only downloaded it today......it does seem/appear to be very good but as a trial version not everything is available to set it up and optimise the PC.........I do have symantec system works 2003 installed which helps out in a lot of ways.....but I was just wondering if any one has tried this little gem, and could recommend whether or not it is worth investing in and if so could provide some help in setting up the appropriate configuration.

i don't know what windows xp manager is so I can't comment as to its usefulness. however, if i read your post right, it looks like you're running the console and graphical versions of f@h at the same time? if so, stop because you should only run one. it's not going to kill your computer, but it will take twice as long to finish a WU. you only need to run one or the other, not both.

I'm sorry I probably should have been clearer on the PC I am running. Hubby (dragonV8) has written down all the internals for me but, I just can't find them at the mo.....but the answer is yes I have got Hyper Threading capabilities....
