NF7-S v2: Multi fix?
Check out this ongoing thread at abit-usa forums ...a guy who says that he has fixed the d22 bios (and he's giving credits to all who helped) to work with the 10x & 10.5 multi's ...some are having issues but some report it working ok. You can download the modded bios straight from the thread but as with all modded bios' ...install at your own risk and be warned. Also ...if you OC you may want to set bios defaults to insure you don't have a lock-up during a bios flash.
NF7/S Series Rev2.0 : Multiplier Fix .... ?
This is wonderful if it truly works ...I may need to try it since I have never update my bios to d22.

edit: apparently it's a problem only when you have insanely high FSB settings. I only have pc2700 though, so no biggie for me.
Running 225x10 w/ Bios 18´
At how high FSB does the multi problem appear?
Check out the threads (especially the second one) that I posted when you have time and you'll probably find out more.
Thanks
csimon
One section says around 215-225 MHz, others say above 225 MHz.
It is very confusing.
Well maybe I should try upping the FSB to 230 MHz, it'll probably blow the lid of my processor, but oh well.
I need to find this multi problem.
EDIT: Writing this at 230 MHz FSB still no problem.
The comp freezes though, but I do not dare upping the voltage further.
It froze up the first time, at present it is fine.
Note: timings still 2.0-2-2-11
But it boots fine at 230x10.
I don't know the problem specifically because I don't use those multi's ...I use 11 & 11.5 up to 220 fsb ...but I do plan on using them this summer when the room heats up so that I can run a lower vcore hopefully.
edit:\ bios 18 I see now sorry.
EDIT: The processor will probably burst into flames when summer arrives.
That is why I am considering a Barton, hopefully same speed at lower voltage.
1.92V is a bit high.
(Sorry, couldn't resist. )
Long live those trying to fix this.. and good job so far, luck for later.
Quick overview:
The 10/10.5 multi issue applies to ALL v2.0 boards and becomes very evident above 230MHz with CPUI enable to achieve better scores when running 3DMark. With CPUI disable isn't such a big deal but performance suffers alot.
Bios v1.0 is the only official bios w/o the problem but then Abit made changes to solve the SATA corruption issue (bios v1.4) and those changes screwed up the multis.
Hi equito ltns. Do you think that these mods will be incorporated into bios 23?
I don't think so. They could've fixed it a long time ago if they wanted to, no reason to do it now and look like idiots.
223x10.5...no problems.
