edited March 2004 in Science & Tech
AMD's DTR (Desktop replacement) Athlon 64-3200+ CPU's have been seen in retail recently. They differ from other 64-bit AMD products and are designed for powerful mobile workstations.

[blockquote]According to our Japanese source, these processors have lower energy per time unit value of 81.5W (vs. 89W of a usual Athlon 64-3200+ and 62W of Mobile Athlon 64). Therefore, the price of DTR Athlon 64-3200+ in Japan is ¥3800 ($35) higher than that of its desktop bro.[/blockquote]

No HS either. Which means it could possibly be modded.

I was just thinking: "81.5W vs 89W. Hmmm, perhaps the voltage is less. If so, perhaps it O/C's nicely."
