Not sure how to ask but basically I'm trying to find which code in the font architxt will give me the degree symbol. In standard AutoCAD fonts the code is %%d however the code is set differently in architext.

anyone have a solution?

If you use the software Fontasm you can see the code.

Thanks in advance.

for architext fonts the code for the degree symbol is %%127 ...I looked it up in one of my old drawings. It's a shame this isn't any easier to determine ...or if there is a way I haven't found it yet.

    Try ALT+145
    Using the numeric keypad.

// Edit: I guess I had this tab opened longer than I thought because you replied well before I did, but your reply wasn't on my screen.

No. I haven't used ACAD in nearly a year. I installed it on my computer when I worked at an engineering firm, but when my computer went south on me last year my install become non-functional. I would purchase ACAD, but since it would only be for fun and not business I just can't see spending that kinda cash for it. Even if I were to "step down" and get the "light" version it would still be considerably more than I would care to spend.

Yes it is quite a chunk of change unless you're a student ...you can have a 1 year version for $158 or and unlimited version for $348. Of course those prices may change in less than 20 days when AutoCAD 2005 is released. http://www.thecadstore.com/

I've not used anything more recent than 2002.

I've used R14, 2000, 2000i and 2002 plus "light" versions of 2000 and 2002. I love ACAD but not $3,000 worth! :) Though, for what I would want to do I'm sure 2005 LT would be more than overly adequate and is definitely much less expensive.
