Microsoft researches 'Shield'

As another round of computer worms attacked PCs around the world yesterday, scientists in Microsoft's advanced research division demonstrated a possible solution. Shields up Cap'ain!

    Let's hope their so called shield doesn't have any vulnerabilities.
    I'm dreaming of course, it's gonna have holes like everything else.

    Still the same problem that hundreds of millions of people _have_ to install the shield before it slows the spread of problems. Most of the worms we see exploit _old_ problems of months past that people haven't patched.

    Yeah, most people doesn't even know what windowsupdate is.
    That is the biggest problem, some doesn't update because they believe the system becomes slower.

    What is needed, is education.
    But I don't think it would help much.
