P258 P259 gromacs

These things are killing my production. None of my Intel machines deal with them well. The AMD's do a little better. The P4 console version is running a P259 @ 70.7 points and the graphic version will do 3 31 pointers in the same time. And on my 6 machines 4 of them are running these. And I have done about 15 of them in the past week. The P4 runs tinkers faster.

Oh well

I run them as I get them

They do take awhile. My main system is working on its second p258 in a row.

Yeah, they are a little slow but the points situation tends to balance out over time as some of the other proteins fold extremely quickly on my P4's and return a real high points/hour ratio. My main rig folds the 259's in around 26-27 hours.:smokin:

I find the p258's do a little better on my amd machines ...but the p259 definitely gives better points per frame.

Yeah, my tbird 1.33 is absolutely choking on these things. At night my kids play music to go to sleep and they like the visualizer on. With the visualizer on, the time per frame goes to about FIVE HOURS.

As soon as they fall asleep I run in there to turn the visualizer off ;D
