SiSoft Sandra 2004, 3DMark 2001SE, PC Mark2004, and SuperPi are 4 that come to mind right off hand.

Use the screenschot key next to the scrool lock next to pause. If you Alt+screen it will take screenies of just the active window.

where does it save the screen shot to?

alt+printscreen copies the screen to the buffer, then open an image program (mspaint, photoshop, paint shop pro, whatever) and paste the image.

Hit Prt Scr then open paint go to edit then click on paste then go to file click on save as and name the file and under file type hit the drop down menu and choose .jpg.
Pretty simple, you can then choose the crop tool and select what you want to save as a screenie (rather than post the whole screenshot) and right click it and choose cut then click file/new and edit/paste and then save it as I outlined above.

What everyone else said works fine. If you want it to be even simpler, try GrabClipSave, then crop it with Irfanview.

Yea I'm also interested in your specs. However a repair install of XP may be in order.

Your ram has plenty of headroom. Lower the timings.
