Wtf just happaned?!

omg!!, ok was using KDE, i wanted to install some of the RPM's that came with this distro, so i started installing them, then after everything is done, the K menu looks different and i cant get into home, not even with root

what the hell did i do?!

    forget it... im just gonna re-install mandrake.. my god... i dont even know what i did!

    Best way to learn is to fubar it up. At least with SW it can be erased and done again.:)

    Rpm Dependencies are a pain in the butt > One of the reasons why I'm using differently package-managed Flavors of Linux.

    Mandrake some times screw up the menu if you are su instead of logged in as root. The way I alway fixed it is to run menudrake from a terminal as root.

    Been a while since I used Mandrake, but Debian (never used it) users love apt-get. It's supposed to "just work." Perhaps you should give Debian a try.

    I'm a Slackware fan myself. Getting down and dirty with some C code and compiling doesn't scare me. :)

    you can use apt-get with madrake but urpmi is very good once you get the sources set

    thanks guys, but i already figured it out

    (sorry for not informing you guys)

    but all i did is just change K menu styles from the nasty looking one back to the original one and everything went ok

    :)
