Networking and folding questions and more

I just bought a new 9800 pro so I finally have enough spare bits to make another computer if I just buy another case.
If it’s easy to do I will set it up as another folding machine so I can hit about 1k a week but I need a few questions answered.
First the parts I have=
Abit KX7-333
256mb PC2100 Ram
XP1800 (used to do 12x166 with my SLK800)
Stock 2500+ Heatsink/Fan (But I don’t mind running a noisy fan with it to make it better performing)
2XSoundblaster PCI's
Turtle Beach soundcard
60 GB IBM Deathstar (sorry I mean Deskstar)
4X Mitsumi CDRW
G4 ti4200 (Or a G4mx as I may give my G4ti to a friend)
USB to Ethernet converter thingy (single ethernet into a usb connector)
My newer PC (if it matters)
Abit NF7-S
XP2500+ @ 2240 MHz
2XWD1200 HD's
Cable internet via a NTL digital cable TV box
Etc
Now if I run another PC I need to be able to run it without a monitor and link it to my main PC so I can access files off it and it needs internet access only to send/receive wu's for F@H so what else will I need parts & software wise?
The 60 GB drive is almost full so I can’t spare more than a gig or 3 for the operating system.
Is it also possible to run it as a hardware firewall for my main PC? Bear in mind I have only ever used windows os's.
As you can guess I have no experience with networking, and this will take me a few weeks to sort out as I’m skint this month and I will only do this if it’s cheap (i.e. costs less than £30 as I'm out of work at the moment).
I also want to put 2 soundcards in this 2nd machine and use it to run as an MP3 DJ machine (my NF7 freaks with another soundcard in) so I need to be able to open the other os on my main PC screen and use the software on it to play mp3s which will be stored on my main machine.
The 2nd machine will be full of mainly cassette tape music rips so can I play them using my main machines soundcard then when I need to just open my PCDJ program, flip a switch on my amp and use the 2nd machines soundcards ?
That’s all I can think of right now but any ideas on the feasibility of what I want to do?

Need modem or NIC for internet access, unless that is built into your motherboard. If you have only 3 GB free, you might want to back up what you have if you want to put XP on it, Home wioll want to wipe whole HD, and Pro will want to use first part for itself. Yuo DO need the O\S on each box, with Windows. No O\S on both, no folding on both and no remote access from the one without an O\S on it.
What kind of broadband do you want to share??? Modem dialup share will need extra work and software probably to share a dialup.

Very Cool.
