Microsoft may trip up Oracle bid for PeopleSoft

Microsoft has given U.S. antitrust authorities a sworn statement that could help the government block Oracle's bid to buy PeopleSoft, attorneys familiar with the case said.

    Lots of developments here, and one of Oracle's competitors will be defending Oracle publicly and legally also-- in the form of material backing Oracle's integrity and ability to produce good software. This competitor will have some of its folks called as willing and FRIENDLY witnesses. eWeek and TechRepublic are my sources for that. Once I can confirm further, will let some more details out here.
