What is going on with EOC????

Right now they have me with almost no turnins for the day, and a 19793 total. In point of fact, I have had turnins and they were within the timeframe when EOC says there were no points. They are, at this point, almost 100 points behind for me. I think EOC is unstable at this point, the stats base needs to be resynced-- possible pickup failure over about 9 hours today, for starters. Recommend Arachnid's stats, which are quite accurate-- instead of EOC for a while. Arachnid shows the points gain that is missing from EOC for my folding ID, jdii1215. It has me at 19875 which is right for last shown pickup time.

At Stanford, I am at 19889 right now, so sometime tomorrow will hit and pass 20K. I have had to slow down the Barton to stock speeds, it could not take the heat, but the P4 is fine OC'd to 3200 MHz and is ripping through Gromacs still.

John D-- who now has a new straight-from-IBM Pro full sized keyboard and 1\10th the typos he had with others. Neat designing of keyboard, IBM (It is the same keyboard shipped with higher end Net Vista computers).

Checked Sally's and you guys are correct. Last update started 1 hr ago and did not update her stats. At least 2-3 WU should have been added.

At the moment, Stanford credits me w/ about 200 points not yet in the EOC update.

FoldingatWork has current stats. You don't get the nice color coding, but if you plug your Folding name into the "Personalize" box it will give you ALL of your threats and conquests in days.

Want to see a lot of green? Plug in "JonsHandbrake".

Actuall I think its been doing this for the past several days. Several times during the day I have looked and I have recieved no points even tho Stanford says I returned a Wu or 2 in the alotted time. At the next update there are points where it said I recieved none. This has happened several times, I think at the 11PM EST update. Maybe at other times as well.

Edit: Quotes from Jason at EOC.

"However, the new stats are processing, I've just got to make a few more html pages and will be switching over soon."

"But like I said, I'm *almost* done with v2 and will be switching over to those as soon as I finish up a few things. You will notice when they are up because it's a totally different layout structure."

Our "Secret" plan appears to be coming together, hehehe.

Sally has a green arrow and 8 red arrows below it.

In all fairness, quite a few are inactive, but you get that, lol.

Hope EOC gets back to normal soon, as it's great to see who is in your sights.

EOC stats are definitely screwed up; they are over 1000 points behind for me.

Jon, I'm curious what kind of temps you and Sally are seeing with your new prescott rig while folding? I was looking through another forum and they had a thread asking about the temps on prescott while folding and it aroused my curiosity. They were making jokes about the proc catching on fire and comparing it to Chernobyl.:D

muddocktor, the temp probe is not set up as per manual unfortunately. Case temps on the display states 60.3c. It possibly does not work as it never changes. Must figure out how it all works correctly so we know what is happening temp wise.

Taking the cover off, indicates it is quite cool inside. 2 front fans sucking, 2 rear fans discharging, 1 top exausting , 2 in the psu and 1 on the proc doing their thing. We had 2 fans with the new case that blow onto the mobo, which we removed and used in the old puter, now folding 24/7, to keep IT a bit cooler.

Also the room we compute in is a constant cool temp, as Sally cannot stand the warm weather. Typical pommie blood. The aircon runs most of the time and is favourable to the mini puter farm. (All 3 of them).

This is not really the info you wanted to hear, but to date it's all i can supply without telling BS, lol.

What program are you using to monitor the temps? You can double-check them by going into the bios and looking for a category called "Hardware Status" or somesuch. Keep in mind that these readings will be at the low end of the range, since the bios doesn't put an appreciable load on the CPU.

If you are using a program like Motherboard Monitor (MBM5 is the current version) you have to be sure that you setup each individual sensor properly. MBM on my computer gives a phantom case reading, even though the MB manufacturer (Abit) says there is no sensor for the case on the board.

And: mondi, you are a cruel, cruel man... :bawling:

    ...dern good Folder, though... :respect::fold:

Thanks Prof, Sally found the Gigabyte program to check the temp. Easy tune 4. Temp is 43c. Does move down a bit at times. Does that sound about right? That is folding 2 lots in HT form @ 100%. :fold::fold:

Hope this is what you wanted to know Muddocktor.

Jon, actually that sounds suspiciously low to me and I don't have too much faith in Gigabyte's monitoring apps, from past experience. I use a program called Motherboard Monitor to monitor my temps, voltages, etc. I just downloaded the latest version of it. When you run the installer, it will pop up a wizard as it's finishing the install process and all you have to do is to pick out your motherboard model and it will correctly set all the sensor values.

Here is the link to download the latest MBM from here at Short-Media.

Thanks Doc. It's 6:15am at the moment, when she wakes i'll pass this on. Going to the shop to get her the new Logitech MX Duo KB and mouse she wants as well as another 2 x 512 sticks of ram. Don't know if it will help, but that way she will have 1.024g each side (HT). After that she can have a play with the link. Even though the temp probe is not placed correctly, might put it as close as possible to the proc whilst the puter is shut down. Don't want to take too long as we don't want to stop folding, lol.

PS. Did some pricing on your suggestion for another folding puter. Am up to $1200AUD already. P4, 2.8HT, 2 x 512, 60g HD. Found a KVM switch box with cables for $109AUD last night. No need for more monitors, etc. This will have to wait till i get my tax cheque back in july. Hhhmmmm, folding farm. (2 x HT, 2 x single=6 + my laptop)
Sorry for going Off Topic. Me be quiet now.

You be addicted Jon. Of course you could always look at a cheap little AMD rig for folding. You don't need much memory (single 256) or HDD (have an old 3.2GB around?). I have folding boxes that I built for less than $300 US. But my next one will be stronger. I can't let you catch me.

It's not me you have to worry about, it's my Handbrake that has been going hell bent for leather. :nudge:

Still doing research re: another rig. Bit hooked on P4's through lack of knowledge with AMD. (Sorry Thrax).

Just checked EOC again and still the same problem. Thanks to the links provided before :thumbup , i managed to Prt Sc a really good shot of Sally moving up the ranks. (the secret plan is working :fold: ). Was hoping to do the same with EOC stats whist we are still in the 10th march.

Any inside knowledge as to what is happening, anyone?? Upgrading to V2??
    (Read that here somewhere).

There is nothing really differnt in setting up AMDs compared to Intels. There is a wealth of knowledge here at SM if you need it.

Not wrong about the knowledge Mark. Have already found that out first hand. :respect::respect::thumbsup:

Me thinks a new thread in the correct area will be the way to go. Pro's and Con's of different systems. Read lots of good things about AMD's. (is that what you want to hear Thrax? :nudge: ).

V2 of the stats should be up midday today (according to folding.extremeoverclocking.com) There's a note on the top of the page.

I just read a post by Jason over at their forums that the new stats will be somewhat delayed due to a change by Stanford in the way they are reporting the user stats (again ). Also, he posted that the old stats individual stats aren't updating any more because they were just taking too many resources and he figured he'd have v2 out today.

    Why Stanford, why?

Also, too bad vB doesn't have a more intelligient smilies system. Standard search-and-replace gets fooled easily by things like ().
