ABIT AI7 onboard sound is crackling

Hi All, I have just built a P4@3.2ghz on the AI7 mobo,1gig Crucial ram and FX5900,it runs fine apart from the onboard sound is crackling and I can hear the mouse scroll through the speakers. This is so annoying! its enough to make me go back to my 1800+ lol
If anyone has a solved this problem please share it with me.
