Good/cheap soundcard w/ SPDIF out?

edited March 2004 in Hardware
The TVPC is now connected to Logi. z680s. Only thing to add now is a soundcard with coaxial SPDIF out. The Soundblaster Live on there now has digital out, but not real SPDIF, just Creative's ripoff. The card will be used with movies and music (no games).

So I'm looking for a new soundcard with SPDIF out and good/great sound quality. Something that will shine with the z680s, yet in the $10-$30 range.

You could try to find an old SB Live! 5.1 Platnium with the Live drive.

Check out the Mad Dog Entertainer 7.1 DSP card, it's based on the VIA Envy 24 HT-S chip and has digital in and out.
It MSRP's for $50 but you might find it as low as $20.
