help with my raid setup

i have 2x 40gig seagate st340016a hdd.. 7200rpm..2m cache.. in raid 0 config. sisoft tells me they are only working at 1/3 potential. 25mb/s. anyone able to tell me what im doing wrong.? im using a ABIT TH7-RAID mainboard/P4 1.7/512 rambus 800. i have the 2x 40s on the primary raid chanel, set to cable select. i have a 120 gig drive on the secondary IDE chan and cdrom-zip drive etc on the pri IDE.

    if you have the space, put each of the raided drives on a seperate RAID channel, both as master.
