SiI3x12A: Serial ATA (SATA) Windows RAID Driver - Released

For anyone having problems updating the latest 3112 RAID driver from the Microsoft Update site, the attached version will address the problem.(until Microsoft updates their update site).

To update your OS using this file, do the following:

For Win2k: 1. Right click My Computer, Properties, hardware, device manager, SCSI and RAID controller, 2. Double click Silicon Image SiI3112 SATARaid Controller, select driver, update driver, next, and select "Display a list of the known drivers for............" 3. Load the driver from A: (if the driver package is located on the floppy). The driver should be updated/installed and shown as Microsoft logod driver.

For XP, 2003:

1. Right click My Computer, Properties, hardware, device manager, SCSI and RAID controller, 2. Double click Silicon Image SiI3112 SATARaid Controller, select driver, update driver, next, and select "Install from a list or............" 3. Load the driver from A: (if the driver package is located on the floppy). The driver should be updated/installed and shown as Microsoft logod driver.

    thanks equito ...and which bios would you recommend with that (on the NF7-s v2 that is)?

    Nice catch EQ'. I've been checking Silicon Image's site pretty much everyday in anticipation of them posting this driver. I guess once again you beat me to it. :thumbsup:

    C', I imagine v4.2.47 (the latest) would be your best bet. No reason to think otherwise. Works great on my rig under that BIOS.

    Installation was flawless on an a7n8x del. v2.
    I'll try to find any bios updates.

    look at the driver date (2/3/04) on that thing will you and then realize what yesterdays date was when it was finally installed successfully. Does it read mm/dd/yy or dd/mm/yy?

    I'm referring to the driver date in the pic I posted towards the top of the thread ...is the driver 3 weeks old (approx) or is it 7 weeks old (approx)?

    I think it's probably 7 given the fact that Microsoft's driver information on Windows Update mentioned Feb.
