Well, not quite yet. I want to ask my instructor a question about the cockpit and tomorrow I am gonna go to school and take a few things off of the server to help me texture this damned thing better. But all in all, I am saying it is done.

Of course I may add to it later when I have more time. But for now I begin my next project which needs a Dropship ;)

Looks very cool although the arms seem a bit thin...much better than what I could draw not to mention render.

I am working on a Union Class Dropship right now. Since I already have some good experience under my shoulder this beast is well underway, I am already at 60K faces on this badboy! It'll be finely detailed too.. gonna be awsome when I compose these 2 together.

Thanks guys, your comments are really making me wanting to make everything I do even better and better. I appreciate it.

Here is the next project, a Union Class Dropship also from BattleTech. I am working on details first due to it's shape and stuff. Then I will give it some jets and it's legs for while it is landed and stuff. The grated inset objects are the doors that the Mechs walk or jump out of.

Dropship are of course what their name implys, they burn into our atmosphere and drop off Mechs/Equipment/People depending on the application. They attach to a Jumpship which is used to transport these Dropships between systems, but while in a system a drop ship is detatched and goes to it's intended target.

Jumpships (which I may try next :P) are HUGE faster than light ships, that "jump" between systems almost instantly as far as 30 light years, it can take a week to recharge it's batteries to jump again. They are also considered "Lost Tech" since all the centuries of war between the "Houses" have cuase much technology to be lost and uncapable of rebuilding them. Treaties are in place to keep Jumpships from being targeted and destroyed since they can no longer be built with the exception of _one_ ship yard that is automated(but can only make so many).

No jumships = many colonies lost. :P Mankind in the BattleTech Universe is spread out over a radius of 1000 lightyears from Earth, it can takes months for communications to be relayed unless you have the money to give to a communications power called "ComStar" who are the only ones to hold HPG's which are Hyper Pulse Generators. ComStar monoplizes the whole known Galaxy due to this and can influence many governing powers. They are the Microsoft of the BattleTech Universe LOL! J\K

    Damn I love BT!

Lemme tell you, adding the details like these extrudes are pretty damned time consuming. I am willing to bet there is a simpler way too and 5 years from now I'll find it and realize I spent 6+ hours per project on something that could have been done in 1 LOL!

    **** happens :P

well you could always map it ...but the faces look better IMO.

I haven't gotten to playw ith texturing too much, but I am gonna be going to the 5AM lab Wednesday when there is like only 3 people in it so they can help me learn to do the Texture mapping better and to learn to make better textures.

    I'm Good.... They're Better.

    For now.... MUAHAHAHAHAHAH!

I figured someone may like this... I just finished the faces around the Dropship, still got a few things like the viewports and legs and some extra minor stuff I may or may not get too, but I liked this wireframed and is my background ;) Although I should render it higher to get rid of that damned Moire effect.

That's pretty sweet, RWB. You should design a Borg sphere! :)
