edited April 2004 in Hardware
like many other gamer i experienced lately systemcrashes in 3d games like
unreal 2004 or bf 1942 ,my system msi k7n2 delta,amd 3200,2 x512 ram3200,
ati 9800 pro, after days where i could play a couple minuts until crsh to win xp,the sys crashed totally, after new driver new bios..i figured out one ram was dead.since i bought it just new,i brought my sytem to a computer"professor"who told me the following.my fan on the ati card is running backwards ,what causes overheating, what causes the card to draw
more current, what causes powerspikes, which kill your ram, i looked and my fan is really running backwards and switching the plug wont change it.could this be a wrong bios setting or in the katalyst driver, does anybody ever looked which way your fan is going???what can i do to prevent the next ram to crash or worth to burn my 9800 pro??? can anybody help plz :usflag:

Your 9800 should still be covered by its guarantee. RMA it to where you got it from and get it replaced.

That is bizarre. I have never looked to see that the fans on my video cards are turning the right way.....
