Hotmail Situation

ok my friend ask me to look at his computer cause every time he tried to log into hotmail he would get kicked off the internet. now theres three other computers in the house but there not networked or on a highspeed connection just regular dial up.i tried using diff accounts on hotmail but nothing would work.i can log into other mail services just fine. i even tried using outlook exp but it still would not work. on the two other computers i can log into hotmail fine. i reallyhave no clue on whats going on. :confused:

    i bet you he has his outlook express set to check his hotmail account and it is set to dial up each time it is launched. now i'm sure you're checking it through a web browser and not OE, but MS has all these services tied together so tightly that I think that is the problem. check to see if OE is setup to check his hotmail or not. disable it if it is.

    at first oe wasnt setup- i set it up to see if i can look at it through oe but it said no server and it got kicked off

    It could be a Porn Dialer or some other hi-jacking program like that. Try downloading Adaware and Spybot - Search & Destroy to scan for Spyware and other malitious software, as that may be what is causing it.
