Nf-7M problems

I'm *trying* to build a box up for a friend of mine using an NF-7M MB. I'm on the second MB for him after having RMAed the first because it wouldn't power on (the onboard LED would light up but nothing else would happen and all the connections were good), now the LED won't even turn on even after switching out the PS with my own that I know works. When I plug it all in and flip the switch on the back it only does this high pitch (barely audible) whistle and that's all. I'm sure the problem is real obvious and I'm just overlooking it for the 20th time, but can you guys give me any ideas of what might be the prob?

thnx

Have you tried a different processor in it, by any chance? Also, make sure you have all drives and stuff disconnected and try to boot up.

Not yet I haven't. The LED should still light up showing that it has power available. That and, in my experience, the computer should still boot without memory, processor or harddrive and tell you something is missing.

sounds like the mobo is bad :(

red LED should light as soon as the power is connected, before the comp is switched on.

No red LED = no power to the mobo.
