Small resource usage programs.

Hello.

Well a couple of questions for you guys, who uses firewalls and anti viruses here? I don't at the moment because i consider i know what i download and i don't have anything of value on my system for a hacker to get?

And if you had to recommend a virus and firewall which would you recommend. I personally would like something which uses very little resources because my poor PC is on the slow and senile side :hiding:

    Avast or AVG Antivirus if you are going the free route and Kerio Personal Firewall as a Firewall (also free).

    I don't use either, although I have an AV installed to scan the occasional file or other networked machines. I don't both with a firewall as I am behind a router, and the other reason is the main reason I don't have AV, as I don't open random files, and I don't use IE.

    I would have recommended Norton AntiVirus, but as they now only support your updates for a year, I won't.

    Avast! has more control than AVG, so if you want to change more settings, use Avast! Antivirus.
